KMUTT Hosts Risk Assessment and Safety Inspection Workshop for Student Leaders

On July 19, 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaowalit Limmaneevichitr, Vice President for Student Development, presided over the opening ceremony of a Risk Assessment and Safety Inspection Workshop for KMUTT student leaders. The event, held in the X Classroom 2406, gathered over 60 student leaders from the Green Heart Team, the Student Organization, the Student Council, and faculty-level student clubs.

The workshop aimed to develop participants’ skills in risk assessment and safety management. It featured a lecture on Risk Assessment Practices, delivered by Asst. Prof. Suchada Chaiyasawat and safety experts from the EESH Center. Participants then conducted hands-on safety inspections across all KMUTT buildings and surrounding areas.

The Green Heart Team led the initiative by presenting actionable safety improvement measures to promote a safer campus environment, in line with KMUTT’s overarching goals.

This activity not only enhanced students’ safety management skills but also supported KMUTT’s commitment to sustainability, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030:

  • Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being – Promoting safety and well-being on campus.
  • Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities – Ensuring sustainable and safe urban environments.

Through this workshop, KMUTT empowered its student leaders to become Sustainability Leaders, equipped with the knowledge and skills to act as Social Change Agents. These future leaders will extend their expertise to communities, fostering sustainability and contributing to global efforts for a better future.
