King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) has been actively advancing towards becoming a Sustainable University for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. In this regard, the University has established a Policy on the Promotion and Restoration of Biodiversity, aiming to ensure that university activities prevent and mitigate negative impacts on environmental health, ecosystem integrity, and natural systems, as well as to minimize risks that may affect ecological balance and biodiversity.

1. Promote planning, management, and conservation of environmental quality within the university premises and surrounding communities to prevent and mitigate environmental impacts, particularly those arising from university development activities.
2. Promote the designation of conservation zones or pollution control areas, such as forests, wildlife sanctuaries, public parks, and natural water bodies, to safeguard the environment and ecosystems from adverse impacts caused by university activities.
3. Promote the control of pollutants released into the environment, including wastewater, air pollutants, and noise pollution generated from university areas or related activities, to ensure compliance with environmental quality standards and pollution control regulations.
4. Promote ecological restoration activities by rehabilitating degraded areas into forested lands to enhance biodiversity restoration within the university, state-owned areas, and community areas, thereby creating broader societal benefits and ensuring long-term sustainability.
5. Promote the integration of biodiversity conservation and restoration into education, research, student activities, academic services, and community engagement, thereby fostering sustainable utilization of biodiversity.
6. Promote and support collaboration with national and international organizations for systematic and effective biodiversity management.
7. Promote value creation, innovation, and sustainable utilization of biodiversity through interdisciplinary integration at both national and international levels.
8. Foster awareness and responsibility in conserving natural resources, the environment, and local wisdom.
