On November 6, 2025, the Energy, Environment, Safety and Health (EESH) Center participated in the exhibition and engagement activity “SDGs Series EP4: Community Volunteer – Expanding Green Heart for Sustainable Communities.” The event was held as part of the “Sustainability in Everyday Life: Building a Sustainable Future with Us” project, organized by the Graduate Program in Environmental Social Sciences, Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Liberal Arts.
The project aimed to raise awareness and inspire the integration of sustainability into daily life through interactive learning and collaboration between KMUTT and neighboring communities. Key highlights included:
- Experience Sharing: Ms. Nairat Wongvet from the EESH Center, alongside Green Heart Change Agents—Mr. Ponlapat Muenmeed and Ms. Phatcharaporn Chaikaew—joined a panel discussion to share insights from the “Green Hero Kids” initiative, previously held during the World Environment Day x SSH 2025 event.
- Creative Workshops: An educational exhibition on waste sorting and the “Natural Pigment Painting” (Saun Nong Pad See) workshop. This activity used eco-friendly pigments to create art that promotes environmental conservation while developing emotional intelligence (EQ).
- Community Action: A volunteer mission to collect trash and “Krathong” floats along the Bang Mod Canal (in front of the FIBO building). Led by the Green Heart Change Agents, the team successfully collected a total of 58 kilograms of waste.
The atmosphere was filled with the synergy of a new generation committed to preserving both the environment and local culture. This initiative supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- Goal 13 (Climate Action): Building awareness of limited resources and climate change resilience.
- Goal 14 (Life Below Water): Conserving water resources and aquatic ecosystems.
- Goal 15 (Life on Land): Protecting and restoring terrestrial ecosystems.
These outcomes reflect KMUTT’s dedication to bridging academic knowledge with social contexts, fostering environmental consciousness and participation at all levels for a better future.
