On August 2–3, 2025, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health Management Center (EESH Center) of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), together with KMUTT Ratchaburi student volunteers, visited Na-Ae Community Market in Ban Bueng Subdistrict, Ban Kha District, Ratchaburi Province to participate in the grand reopening celebration of the newly renovated market. The team implemented proper waste separation measures and provided guidance to event participants on waste disposal by type, aiming to raise environmental awareness among both the local community and visitors.

The event was part of the research project “Na-Ae Karen Cultural Market”, supported by the Program Management Unit for Area-Based Development (PMU-A), with KMUTT as the lead organization. The project aims to promote the local economy based on cultural heritage and create a learning space for cultural entrepreneurship for youth and community members.

This activity not only strengthened collaboration between the university and the community but also served as an example of an event that integrates cultural preservation with sustainable environmental management—helping to improve the quality of life in the area while preserving its unique cultural identity for future generations.
