On February 5, 2026, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by the Health Care Unit (HCU) under the Office of Building and Grounds, in collaboration with the EESH Center, welcomed a dedicated task force from the Health Department of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The team included representatives from the Thung Khru District Office and Public Health Center 54 (Tat Iam).
The joint mission involved a comprehensive site inspection and survey of Aedes mosquito breeding grounds, covering both indoor and outdoor areas throughout the university campus.
The primary objective of this initiative is to monitor and prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases, focusing on creating a safe and hygienic environment for all students and staff. This proactive measure aligns with KMUTT’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2030):
- Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all.
- Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities): Promoting sustainable and resilient urban environments.
