King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), through the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH) and its working network, hosted the event on 2 September 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, 1st Floor, Learning Exchange (LX) Building. The opening ceremony featured a welcome speech by Asst. Prof. Suchada Chaisawas, Advisor to EESH, followed by a report by Mr. Kittinat Kaewthong, Acting Director of EESH. Dr. Ananop Nopparat, Vice President of KMUTT Bangkhuntien, presided over the opening, joined by KMUTT executives.

The event featured a wide range of key activities, including the announcement of KMUTT’s Biodiversity Promotion and Restoration Policy 2025, a panel discussion on “Biodiversity Restoration through KMUTT’s Initiatives”, and recognition of outstanding achievements in energy, environment, safety, and occupational health. Awards were also presented to model safety laboratories that successfully passed the Peer Evaluation system under the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).

In addition, various exhibitions were showcased, covering sustainable safety management, health and well-being promotion, environmental conservation and climate change preparedness, and biodiversity restoration, as well as campaigns to reduce risky behaviors that may lead to accidents. Exhibition booths were jointly organized by both internal and external organizations, including the Office of Student Affairs, Building and Facilities Management Office, Health and Counseling Unit (HCU), and Bangpakok 1 Hospital.

The program also featured safety-related workshops, such as training on workplace safety awareness and working-at-heights safety, along with recreational games integrating safety knowledge for enjoyable learning. A collaborative activity invited participants to paint a backdrop with safety, health, and sustainability symbols, representing their commitment to contributing to a safer and more sustainable environment, and to spreading this vision to the wider community.
