“Green Dormitory” Welcomes New Students with Sustainable Initiatives

On September 22, 2024, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health (EESH) Management Center, in collaboration with the KMUTT Student Dormitory, launched a meaningful activity under the theme “Green Dormitory: A Fresh Start with a Green Heart”. This initiative aimed to raise awareness and promote energy and environmental conservation among new and current dormitory residents.

Held at the ground floor of the female dormitory at KMUTT Bangmod, the event introduced participants to the university’s sustainability policies and management systems. It encouraged active student engagement in adopting eco-friendly practices, contributing to a greener campus.

Highlights of the Event:

  1. Chang Agent with Green Heart:
A special session where students shared perspectives on their roles as change agents with a “Green Heart” mindset, inspiring actions to foster environmental consciousness.
  2. “Bring Your Own Cup” Campaign:
Students were encouraged to bring reusable containers to enjoy free drinks and snacks, promoting the reduction of single-use plastics and supporting sustainable consumption habits.

This activity is part of the “Green Dormitory” campaign, which aligns with KMUTT’s mission to cultivate a sustainable university community focusing on energy conservation, environmental stewardship, and safety. The event successfully fostered collaboration among students and staff, emphasizing the importance of collective action in building a more sustainable future.
