On July 22, 2025, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health Center (EESH Center) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized the annual fire evacuation drill for Zone 2 – Faculty of Science Building Complex at the Bangmod campus. The drill aimed to enhance preparedness in fire prevention and emergency response for both personnel and building occupants, in alignment with safety standards and legal compliance.

The event was held in accordance with Section 36, Paragraph 1 of the Occupational Safety, Health, and Work Environment Act, which requires employers to conduct fire drills and evacuation training at least once a year. Over 300 participants took part in the exercise, which also served to strengthen awareness and build practical skills for responding to emergency situations in the workplace.

The drill was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Anawat Pinijsakkul, Associate Dean for Administration of the Faculty of Science, who joined at the command center for emergency coordination and control. In addition to fulfilling legal obligations, the drill supported KMUTT’s commitment to environmental and occupational safety management policies and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities—by promoting a culture of safety and resilience within the university community.
