On October 31, 2025, the Energy, Environment, Safety and Health (EESH) Center at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized its Annual Fire Evacuation Drill for Building Zone 6 at the Bangmod campus.
The initiative aimed to strengthen fire prevention and suppression capabilities among faculty, staff, and students. It also served as a critical hands-on training session for both Building-level Emergency Response Teams and the KMUTT Central Emergency Response Team, ensuring that evacuation procedures meet international safety standards.
The basic firefighting and fire evacuation training is a core component of the university’s Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health policy. This practice directly aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:
- Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Ensuring a safe environment that protects the physical health of the community.
- Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities): Implementing systematic risk management and safety protocols within educational and urban spaces.
