On Monday, November 17, 2025, the Energy, Environment, Safety and Health (EESH) Center at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) conducted its Annual Fire Evacuation Drill for Building Zone 8. This zone includes the Classroom Building 3 (S13) and the King Mongkut’s 190th Anniversary Memorial Building (S14).
The initiative was designed to enhance fire prevention and emergency response preparedness for faculty, staff, and students. It also provided crucial hands-on training for the Building-level Emergency Response Teams and the KMUTT Central Emergency Response Team, ensuring that evacuation procedures are executed according to international safety standards.
The basic firefighting and evacuation training is a key component of KMUTT’s Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (EESH) policy. This ongoing commitment aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:
- Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Protecting the health and safety of the university community.
- Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities): Implementing systematic risk management and safety protocols in campus and community environments.
