The Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health Center (EESH) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs, organized an exhibition and awareness activities titled “Freshy’s First Steps in KMUTT 2022.” The theme was “New Generation Ants: Caring for Energy Conservation, Environmental Management, and Safety Readiness, Staying Clear of COVID-19.” The event, held on August 3, 2022, at the King Mongkut Memorial Building 190 Years and Green Society Building, was led by the student leaders of the Green Heart initiative.

The objective was to educate new students of the academic year 2022 about energy conservation, environmental preservation, and safety systems. Moreover, the event aimed to disseminate information about KMUTT’s policies towards becoming a sustainable green university, “KMUTT Sustainable University for SDGs 2030.” The university declared its commitment to green university objectives in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, especially Goal 13, integrating measures for climate change into policies, strategies, and bolstering resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters.

Over 3,000 students participated in the event, which supported the creation of a sustainable university in alignment with the SDGs 2030 objectives.
