The Energy, Environment, Safety and Health Center (EESH) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) Bang Mod Campus conducted a basic firefighting training course on December 13, 2025. The training, held in the Jumras Chaiyapong Meeting Room, Building 2, adhered to the standards set by the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour. The course was designed for the personnel, officials, and students of the Faculty of Engineering.

Instructors from the Rat Burana Fire Station conducted the sessions, equipping the attendees with fundamental skills and knowledge for initial emergency response and firefighting. This preparation ensures that the university’s personnel, students, and security staff are capable of correctly using firefighting equipment and effectively managing initial emergency situations.

Over 100 participants attended the training, which was in accordance with legal requirements and aligned with the university’s policies on energy, environmental, safety, and occupational health management. This training initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, focusing on the importance of ensuring safety for the university’s internal personnel.
