In 2024, KMUTT took a major step toward sustainability by replacing all conventional water taps, showerheads, and bidets with eco-sensor water-saving appliances. As per KMUTT’s purchasing guidelines, any new water appliances for future construction or projects must carry a Green Certificate or Green Label, ensuring that only environmentally friendly products are installed.

These eco-friendly appliances have made a significant impact on water conservation efforts at the university, reducing piped water usage by over 50,000 m³ per year. This initiative reflects KMUTT’s dedication to sustainable resource management and demonstrates how thoughtful infrastructure improvements can lead to substantial environmental benefits.
