On December 21, 2025, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) joined hands with VNU Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. to conduct the “KMUTT Hearts Together for Planting 200,000 Trees in 2025” event. This activity was a part of the VNU CARBON NEUTRALITY 2040 project, a pilot initiative by VNU Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., aimed at ‘Growing Saplings, Expanding Forests for a Sustainable Future – Edition 2’. The event was led by Assoc. Prof. Suchada Chaisawadi, Director of the EESH Center and the Physical Resources Management Office of KMUTT Bang Khun Thian, along with the KMUTT community and the executive team of VNU Asia Pacific Co., Ltd.

Together, they planted mangrove forests at the designated area of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Phan Thai Norasing Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province. VNU Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. supported the initiative by donating 5,000 mangrove saplings, equivalent to 50,000 Baht. The activity was organized to conserve and restore the nation’s natural resources to their original state, ensuring ecological balance. It also aimed to reduce the impacts of greenhouse gas emissions.

Furthermore, this initiative supports sustainable development policies, focusing on and promoting the project of achieving zero net carbon emissions, contributing to giving back to society and our world. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, particularly Goal 14: Life Below Water, Goal 15: Life on Land, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, emphasizing the sustainable use of marine resources, ecological conservation, and fostering sustainable development collaboration.
