King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), through its Energy, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH Center), organized a training program for laboratory assessors based on peer evaluation for internal laboratory assessments (Internal Peer Evaluations), in its first edition. The theoretical part of the training was conducted on January 16-17, 2023, at the UX702 meeting room in the Multi-Purpose Building of KMUTT, while the practical session took place on January 18, 2023, at the ASESS Research Center, the Chemistry Lab, and the General Chemistry Laboratory.

The training was graced by Assoc. Prof. Suchada Chaisawadi, Director of the EESH Center, along with Supachai Jiamton, Ariya Chaivasut, and other experts from the EESH Center. The aim was to prepare and develop KMUTT’s peer evaluators in both theoretical and practical aspects. The training covered the standard safety protocols of laboratories across seven comprehensive aspects. Additionally, it aimed to develop and suggest practical methods for managing laboratories, fostering a culture of safety for both the individual and others involved. It also aimed to build awareness among researchers, analysts, and scientists about their responsibilities towards society and the overall environment.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, focusing on sustainable waste management systems.
