On June 28, 2566, the Center for Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (EESH) organized the KMUTT Green Nudges Road Show at the student dormitory building of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) Bang Khun Thian. The primary objective of this initiative was to raise awareness and encourage positive behavioral shifts. The term “nudge” implies creating a gentle push or spark to garner attention and gradually stimulate students, faculty, and staff within the university to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors.
Through this event, KMUTT aims to foster a sense of responsibility towards energy and environmental conservation within its community, promoting a sustainable lifestyle in line with the university’s ethos. This approach aligns with KMUTT’s strategic policy to develop its students and staff into “Green Heart” individuals, embodying a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability.
The roadshow garnered significant interest from the KMUTT community, including both faculty and students. Furthermore, this initiative corresponds with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. Specifically, it resonates with Goal 17, which emphasizes the importance of building partnerships and networks to foster collaboration and prepare for future developments. Moreover, it aligns with Goal 13, focusing on implementing actions to address climate change and its impacts.
