On January 20, 2026, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by the Energy, Environment, Safety and Health (EESH) Center, participated in the 2nd Thailand National PM2.5 Forum. The forum was held under the theme “System Change, Data Integration, Driving Clean Air Together.”
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Prime Minister, alongside Dr. Raweewan Bhuridej, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, Chairman of the Bangkok Breath Council. The event drew over 500 representatives from the public and private sectors, academia, and civil society at the Grand Diamond Ballroom, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
The forum, held from January 20–21, 2026, marks a significant collaborative effort to drive clean air policies by integrating scientific data and technology into practical action. Given that PM2.5 pollution is a complex systemic issue, the forum emphasized the need for cooperation across all sectors to synthesize knowledge and formulate policy recommendations for the government. The ultimate goal is to provide concrete solutions to air pollution and enhance the long-term quality of life for all Thais.
