Smart Building Requirements
Standard guidelines and descriptions for evaluating intelligent facilities.
The 6 Pillars of Intelligent Campus
Core components that drive our buildings to operate sustainably and safely.
1. Automation
- Building Automation System (BAS): Controls HVAC and Lighting from a central room to analyze trends and improve energy security.
- Inverter Chillers: Maintains temperatures efficiently without running at full load.
2. Safety
- CCTV: Installed in all public buildings for security.
- SOS System: 12+ locations linked to a 24-hour control room for immediate emergency response.
- Fire Alarms: Alerts the CCTV control room directly with accident locations.
3. Energy
- Energy Measuring System: Database developed since 2010.
- Digital Meters: Installed in 32 buildings. Evaluates daily load profiles and power peaks for better performance.
4. Water
- Smart Water Sensors: 163 tap sensors and 442 flush valve sensors in new buildings save >50,000 m³ of water annually.
- Leakage Control: Flow, level, and pressure switches implemented for awareness and prevention.
5. Indoor Environment
- Air Quality Monitors: Tracks PM2.5, PM10, PM1, Temp, and Humidity.
- CO2 Control: Maintained at 350-1,000 ppm via automated fans under IAQE management.
6. Lighting
- Smart Controls: 100+ LED bulbs activated via motion sensors in walkways and parking areas.
- Efficiency Standard: Maintains 500 lumen/m² while saving >85% energy via dimmable technology.
