On April 1, 2025, the Strategic Center for Organizational Competitiveness (STECO), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, organized a Dinner Talk on “Transforming Businesses with AI: Unlocking Growth and Competitiveness” at the Ballroom of S31 Hotel. The objective was to create a platform for exchanging knowledge and building upon business strategies using AI for growth and enhanced competitiveness.

At the event, Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharapoj Subsongsuanboon, Director of the Strategic Center for Organizational Competitiveness (STECO), stated that STECO is ready to be a key hub for gathering and exchanging knowledge about AI. In an era where the world is rapidly undergoing technological transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become central to driving businesses across all sectors, including industry, services, finance, and the public sector. Today, we are at a point where it’s no longer just about experimenting with AI to increase efficiency, but about fundamentally transforming the structure of organizations with the power of data and intelligent systems. We will inevitably live with AI in our daily lives, just as we are inseparable from the internet.

Dr. Thamthee Sookchotirat, Chief Executive Officer of J.I.B. AI, shared approaches to applying AI to enhance organizational efficiency. We are now in a world where businesses need to run faster every day, but resources such as time, people, and money are limited. This is why AI, or artificial intelligence, plays a crucial role. AI is a force multiplier that helps organizations achieve more with the same or even fewer resources, propelling our organizations to success. AI will not replace humans; the concept is “AI Draft, Human Craft,” viewing AI as a tool to help humans work more intelligently.

Following this, Mr. Rattapon Wongnapachant, Chairman of the Executive Board of Siam AI Co., Ltd., spoke about leveraging AI to enhance organizational competitiveness without limits. In the past, we hired more employees to increase production capacity, but today, AI helps analyze vast amounts of data within seconds, predict market trends before they occur, and learn from customer behavior with a deeper understanding than humans can achieve. However, the problem for organizations in Thailand is the lack of data within the country, which makes large organizations hesitant to use AI because they need to feed data to AI, and that data is considered confidential. The only way to solve this is to create organizational AI that uses the organization’s data within Thailand. In the age of AI, what is currently needed is a “Data Factory,” and Siamai has invested in the infrastructure to support Thai people in having safe and accessible AI.

Mr. Arakin Rakchittapoke, Head of Enterprise Business Solutions at AIS, stated that Gen AI and Quantum Computing are revolutionizing the world. Gen AI is becoming a crucial tool for creating content, designing systems, and performing analysis instead of humans in some roles, increasing work efficiency and reducing tasks that used to take hours to minutes, thus saving costs by reducing reliance on redundant personnel, experimenting with new ideas, and creating innovation for organizations. Quantum Computing is a technology that may change our entire way of thinking, especially in terms of calculation, processing, and solving complex problems at a level that traditional AI cannot yet achieve. Therefore, Quantum Computing is a technology that may take time, but when it arrives, it will change everything in an instant. Executives who are prepared will become the new market leaders in an era where no one plays by the old rules anymore. Organizations need to adapt by digitizing their business processes to utilize AI.
