KMUTT Educational Technology and Communications Program Organizes Digital Citizenship Awareness Project

On Tuesday, April 21, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornpapassorn Princhanakul, Head of the project to expand the practical training on “Digital Citizenship for Enhancing Digital Literacy Awareness,” along with the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), student representatives from the organizing committee, and students in the ETM 315 Mass Media Literacy course, participated in a training activity on “Aware Digital Citizenship with 5 Digital Skills.” The event was held in classroom 30907 (9th floor), Building S13, Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, KMUTT. The course focused on developing five key digital skills through five activity stations: Digital Literacy, Digital Citizenship, Digital Communication, Digital Creativity, and Digital Safety & Security. The activities incorporated interesting new technologies such as Padlet and Blooket to enhance engagement between the trainers and participating students. The project aimed to develop skills and knowledge for using technology safely and ethically, emphasizing responsible digital usage, enhancing awareness and understanding of digital citizenship, media and information literacy, and protection against cyber threats. It also aimed to promote the use of digital technology for social benefit and the creation of a safe and creative digital society across all five domains, featuring a special activity called “The Digital Escape Room.” Each training topic was designed to strengthen the five essential digital skills of the participants through fun and practical activities. Participants will be able to apply these skills effectively and safely in their learning, work, and daily lives. At the end of the event, the organizing committee presented souvenirs to students who demonstrated outstanding performance in the activities to foster participation and interaction among the attendees.
