KMUTT Business Plan Competition 2024: A Platform for Innovative Space Management Towards Sustainability

The KMUTT Business Plan Competition 2024: Space Utilization Plan for Sustainable Value Creation successfully concluded with its Final Pitching Round on January 13, 2025. This competition, jointly organized by the Asset and Benefit Management Unit, the Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH), the Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), the School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D), and the Student Affairs Office at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), aimed to discover and develop innovative business plans for sustainable space management within the university.

The competition encouraged students to apply business knowledge to real-world space management challenges, focusing on mixed-use development that benefits students, staff, and the surrounding community. The competition began with 32 teams, of which 8 teams advanced to the final round.

Throughout the competition, students participated in workshops on business concepts, site exploration of KMUTT’s actual operational spaces, and case studies from successful projects. These experiences helped participants refine their ideas and develop feasible, high-impact solutions for sustainable space utilization.

Despite not offering an undergraduate business program, KMUTT actively promotes interdisciplinary learning by providing real-world challenges for students. The KMUTT Business Plan Competition 2024 serves as a platform for fostering entrepreneurial thinking, allowing students to develop sustainable space utilization strategies that benefit the university, students, staff, and surrounding communities.
