On Monday, March 3, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology (FIET), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, organized the Teacher Professionalism Promotion Project for the 2024 academic year under the concept “Teachers Ignite Dreams, Empower Bold Thinking, Create Life Opportunities for Thai Children.” The event took place at the Gymnasium, 190th Anniversary of King Mongkut’s Memorial Building (Building S14), KMUTT. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kulthida Thamwipat, Associate Dean for Student Development and Corporate Communications, FIET, KMUTT, presided over the opening ceremony. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phongyut Janthong, Assistant Dean for Innovation and Alumni Network Development, FIET, also welcomed the over 400 participants. The event featured a special “Arts and Culture” performance from the 11th Thailand Teaching Academy Award 2024 competition. This activity aimed to raise awareness of the value and importance of the teaching profession and provide participants with opportunities to learn and develop academic and professional skills through extracurricular experiences under the concept “Teachers Ignite Dreams, Empower Bold Thinking, Create Life Opportunities for Thai Children.” The event included an award ceremony presenting honorary plaques in six categories: (1) Proud Awards to 8 alumni as outstanding graduates recognized by their teachers for the year 2024 under the FIET Family / Alumni network, (2) Certificates of Appreciation to 7 exemplary teachers, (3) Certificates of Appreciation to 10 outstanding staff members, (4) Certificates of Appreciation to 15 outstanding student volunteers from the FIET Student Club, (5) Certificates of Appreciation to 19 outstanding faculty members and student volunteers for the “Heal the Teenagers” program, and (6) Awards from the “11th Thailand Teaching Academy Award 2024” academic competition to 77 individuals. A total of 40 honorary plaques and 96 certificates were awarded. The event also featured an academic seminar on the topic “Teachers Ignite Dreams, Empower Bold Thinking, Create Life Opportunities for Thai Children,” with special guest speakers who were recipients of the Proud Awards: Asst. Prof. Dr. Weerayut Sudsomboon, lecturer from the Graduate School, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarayut Thong-uthai, Deputy Director of the Vocational Education Institute Region 5, Samut Songkhram Technical College; and Dr. Vichai Khummanee, lecturer from the College of Urban Community Development, Navamindradhiraj University. They shared their inspiration for becoming teachers and methods for developing students to maximize their potential. The project concluded with a quiz with prizes and a highlight video showcasing the event’s atmosphere, presented by the students from the ETM205 Presentation Skills course, which greatly impressed the attendees.
