A Strategy to Expand Urban Green Spaces on Campus and in Surrounding Communities

In recent years, tree-planting volunteer programs have become one of the most popular and meaningful activities at KMUTT. Students and staff have joined together to plant more than 35,000 trees, including perennial species and mangroves, across the university’s Bangmod, Bangkhuntien, and Ratchaburi campuses.

Beyond campus boundaries, over 55,000 additional trees have been donated to local communities as gifts for planting in their own areas. This initiative aims to restore the balance between natural ecosystems and human settlements while strengthening the bond between people and nature all under KMUTT’s “Green Heart” concept.
