“Love and Cherish” on Valentine’s Day: EESH Encourages Environmental Conservation

On February 14, 2022, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health (EESH) Center organized the event “Love and Cherish” on Valentine’s Day, encouraging environmental conservation. The event took place at the Green Society building and aimed to promote environmental awareness under the Green Nudges campaign, which encourages the efficient use of available resources.

As part of the event, participants exchanged used plastic bottles for tree saplings, which were later planted as a symbolic gesture of environmental conservation. Additionally, a mini workshop on painting and decorating plant pots made from recycled materials was conducted. The event received positive feedback from participants and served as a model for future environmental initiatives.

This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by promoting sustainable consumption and production patterns, Goal 13 (Climate Action) by emphasizing tree planting and environmental conservation to combat climate change, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaborative networks for sustainable development. It contributes to the creation of a sustainable green community for the future.
