KMUTT Joins SUN Thailand Network Meeting to Foster Sustainable University Initiatives

King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by Associate Professor Dr. Prasert Kanthamanon, Senior Vice President for Administration, participated in the 3rd/2022 meeting of the Sustainable University Network of Thailand (SUN Thailand) on October 27-28, 2022. The team from the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH) also attended the meeting held at the Chalermprakiat Sports Center, Maejo University, Chiang Mai, hosted by Srinakharinwirot University.

This meeting was organized to ensure the continuous and effective operation of the Sustainable University Network of Thailand. Representatives from various universities also had the opportunity to visit and learn about the sustainability management systems and practices of Maejo University. This included a tour of facilities such as the Organic Vegetable Seed Production Learning Center, significantly contributing to raising the standard of environmental quality and sustainability in higher education institutions. These initiatives serve as models for sustainable development in other sectors of society. The activities and discussions in this meeting align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically Goal 17, which focuses on building partnerships to promote sustainable development.
