KMUTT Organizes “Train of the Trainer: Green Heart Student” Workshop to Promote Sustainability Leadership
On September 9, 2019, the Sustainability Promotion Unit of the EESH Center conducted the “Train of the Trainer: Green Heart Student” workshop at Cb2402, Classroom Building 2, with 50 students in attendance.
The event brought together Green Heart student leaders, who shared insights and proposed strategies to enhance energy conservation and environmental protection. The workshop encouraged all participants to take action in reducing energy consumption and single-use plastic waste. This initiative is a part of KMUTT’s ongoing commitment to achieving sustainable energy and environmental conservation goals, contributing to a green and sustainable university community.
The activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically:
- Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for sustainability.
- Goal 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
- Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
This workshop aimed to empower students with a Green Heart mindset, equipping them to become Change Agents. Participants were encouraged to disseminate their knowledge on energy conservation, environmental protection, safety, and health to their communities. The initiative also fostered the creation of a Green Heart network, enabling student leaders to broaden the impact of KMUTT’s green initiatives and contribute to the university’s vision of becoming a sustainable institution.
By cultivating sustainability leadership among its students, KMUTT continues to lead efforts in creating a greener and more environmentally responsible future.
