Asst. Prof. Dr. Prasert Kanthamanon, the Senior Vice President for Administration at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), along with the university’s executive team including Mr. Sompon Noiyano, Assistant Vice President for Student and Learner Environment, Ms. Kamolthorn Charanlum, Acting Director of the Health and Hygiene Service Group, Ms. Suthipa Saetan, Head of the Benefit and Property Management Group, Mr. Preecha Akkarat, Head of Sustainable Development at the Building and Place Administration Office, Mr. Rachen Wongwaen, Head of Physical Building and Place Administration Office, Mr. Chalerm Sak Cherunsuk from the Building and Place Administration Office, Ms. Sasisorn Songkun from the Strategic Communication and Marketing Group, Mr. Winai Saensuk from the Student Affairs Office, and the team from the EESH center welcomed the expert committee from the Bangkok Area 2 Labor Welfare and Protection Office.

The committee visited to evaluate KMUTT as a “Safe Educational Institution for 2023” on June 7, 2023, at the LIB 108 conference room on the first floor of the Library building. Mr. Amornthep Kumsuk, Safety Manager from the EESH center, presented the university’s safety management system, in line with the policy aimed at becoming a sustainable university with excellent energy, environmental, and safety management. The KMUTT’s motto is “TOTAL COMMITMENT: Safety in all we do” or “KMUTT is committed to safety in every aspect we undertake.”

The committee was also taken on a tour to view various safety exhibitions and management systems, including exhibitions in honor of Kings Rama IV, Rama IX, and Rama X at the Library, the EMS Volunteer/SAVE LIFE NIGHT CARE student club at the Student Affairs Office, and the food management system at the King Rama IV Memorial Building. They also viewed the safety systems using CCTV and the emergency notification system on the third floor of the Engprasong Building.

For the academic year 2023, KMUTT has applied to be part of the Safe Educational Institution competition. The committee praised KMUTT’s management system and provided suggestions for sustainable safety management in the future.
