King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bang Mod, and Bang Khun Thian campuses were honored with the “Outstanding Safe Educational Institution Award for 2022” by the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare on September 16, 2022. This year, KMUTT Bang Khun Thian received the award for the fourth consecutive year (2019-2022), and KMUTT Bang Mod for the third consecutive year (2020-2022).
The Department of Labor Protection and Welfare praised KMUTT’s safety management system. The award is a result of KMUTT’s continuous efforts in safety operations and the cooperation of the KMUTT community in establishing a culture of safety for sustainable organizational development. This aligns with KMUTT’s policy to be a green university with excellent management in energy, environment, and safety, encapsulated in their motto “KMUTT TOTAL COMMITMENT: Safety in all we do.”
These efforts are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically targeting Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
