On January 14, 2023, in celebration of National Children’s Day, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by its Sustainable Activity Promotion Group and the Energy, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH Center), in collaboration with the KMUTT Green Bicycle Club, organized the “Spin, Pedal, Share Blessings Year 2” event at the Darul Ibadah community. The event was part of the KMUTT Walk & Bike Society, promoting sustainable cycling and walking society.

Participants, including faculty, students, staff, and the KMUTT community, engaged in cycling activities, learned about the community, and organized a National Children’s Day event for the youths of Darul Ibadah. The initiative included spreading joy by gifting sustainable and environmentally-friendly presents, such as dolls, toys, educational materials, and books, under the ongoing “Sharing is Caring” project, now in its second year.

With more than 100 participants, the event not only encouraged KMUTT students, pupils, and staff to engage in environmentally beneficial activities but also extended goodwill to nearby communities, fulfilling one of the university’s missions to contribute positively to society and the nation. This initiative aligns with KMUTT’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, Goal 13: Climate Action, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, emphasizing the importance of limited resources, preparedness for climate change, and fostering sustainable development collaboration.
