Driving Sustainability through Energy Conservation

The Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health (EESH) Management Center, in collaboration with the Energy Conservation Committee of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, hosted the “ME Energy Saving Day 2024” on November 18, 2024, at the multipurpose area on the 1st floor of the Witsawawat Building, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). This event aimed to promote awareness and inspire energy conservation while exploring practical applications of energy-saving technologies in daily life and work.

Aligned with the government’s policy to encourage energy-saving practices across all sectors, the event emphasized efficient energy use and its impact on mitigating climate change.

Highlights of the event included:

  • Exhibitions on energy-saving technologies that showcased innovative, eco-friendly solutions.
  • Hands-on workshops for students and staff to learn practical techniques for reducing energy consumption.
  • Guidelines for efficient energy use in daily life and professional settings.
  • Demonstrations on using the “Net Zero Man” website to calculate greenhouse gas emissions, empowering participants to assess and reduce their own carbon footprints.
