On February 27, 2025, the Office of Science and Industry (OSI) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized a hands-on training workshop on the National Science and Technology Information System (NSTIS) to enhance the capacity of personnel from universities within the Lower Central Regional Science Park Network.

This workshop aimed to develop participants’ skills in using the NSTIS system and to improve the efficiency of scientific and technological infrastructure data services. The NSTIS project, operated under the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), serves as a one-stop service for science and technology data through its official website https://nstis.mhesi.go.th. It is designed to provide comprehensive information services to private sector organizations, industries, government agencies, and the general public. The system operates under a shared-use concept, integrating resources across universities within the Regional Science Park Network.

The event was hosted by Ms. Sophida Boonenaksap, Director of OSI at KMUTT, who welcomed the 50 workshop participants from various universities within the Lower Central Regional Science Park Network, including:

  • King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT)
  • Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University
  • Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University
  • Phetchaburi Rajabhat University
  • Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University
  • Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon

The workshop was officially opened by Dr. Wattanajak Poomwiset, Director of the Science Park Group, Division of Science, Research, and Innovation Promotion and Coordination, who delivered an address on the importance and development of the NSTIS system. Participants were introduced to the system’s core functions, data entry procedures, content management, and efficient administration of scientific and technological infrastructure data.

This training provided university personnel with the necessary skills to effectively utilize the NSTIS platform, ensuring accurate and efficient management of scientific and technological infrastructure data.
