KMUTT Organizes the “Ant Volunteers for Soil Conservation” Project in Celebration of Father’s Day and World Soil Day 2024

King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) is organizing the “Ant Volunteers for Soil Conservation” project to celebrate Father’s Day and World Soil Day 2024 under the theme “Caring for soils: measure, monitor, manage” on December 4, 2024. The project aims to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of soil resources, promote sustainable land use, and foster collaboration among university administrators, students, staff, and the surrounding community in conserving natural resources in a meaningful way.

Participants will gain knowledge about the crucial role of soil in ecosystems, sustainable soil quality improvement, and effective soil resource management. They will also develop practical skills through the “Delicious Soil Crafting” workshop, enhancing their understanding of proper soil preparation and its application in agriculture, community environmental development, or home gardening. This activity provides an opportunity for participants to disseminate the knowledge gained, expand its impact within society, build networks for soil conservation efforts, and establish sustainable development practices at the community and national levels.
