KMUTT Hosts “KMUTT ACTS 2024: Sustainable Thrive Through Entrepreneurship” to Promote Entrepreneurial Mindset and Sustainability

King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized the “KMUTT ACTS 2024” event to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and sustainability among students, staff, and the general public. The event was held under the theme “Sustainable Thrive Through Entrepreneurship: Think, Create, Take Action, and Persist to Success with Meaningful Impact.” It featured activities in four key areas:

  • Activate (Inspire and spark interest),
  • Create (Develop skills and take real action),
  • Transform (Showcase examples of success and real-world impact at the university and societal level),
  • Sustainable (Deep learning about sustainability development).

Participants were offered both educational and entertaining experiences through student and staff exhibitions, panel discussions, special lectures, and workshops led by entrepreneurship and sustainability experts.

Key highlights included a panel on the future of KMUTT under the topic, “KMUTT’s Growth Through Entrepreneurship and Sustainability,” featuring KMUTT executives such as Associate Professor Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of KMUTT; Assistant Professor Dr. Montira Nopparat, Vice President for Industrial and Partnership Affairs; and Associate Professor Dr. Yossapong Laoonual, Assistant President for Sustainability. External experts also participated, including Mr. Amornpol Huavanon, CEO of Moreloop Co., Ltd.; Mr. Itthikorn Tepmanee, Circular Economy Officer at Orca Feed Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Theerachai Suppametheekulwat, Design Director and Co-founder of Qualy, among others.

Additionally, there was a student-run marketplace selling goods and freshly prepared food for attendees. The event took place from August 26-27, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Multidisciplinary Learning Center (N16) and Lecture Hall 2 (N17).

KMUTT places great emphasis on cultivating entrepreneurial skills in students, aligning with the university’s goal of becoming a Sustainable Entrepreneurial University by 2026, as outlined in its 13th strategic development plan.
