On April 17, 2024, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) donated a total of 288.7 kilograms of electrical appliances and used electronics to the Mirror Foundation to support the Computer Project for Children. This initiative reflects KMUTT’s commitment to promoting the value of giving among its staff and students, as well as its dedication to creating educational opportunities for underprivileged children.
The donated electrical appliances and electronics will be repaired and refurbished by the Mirror Foundation before being distributed to schools and communities in need. This effort aims to provide children with access to technology and the opportunity to learn computer skills, which will benefit their education and future prospects. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2040, particularly Goal 4 on quality education, Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities emphasizing the safety of university personnel, and Goal 17 on building sustainable networks for development.
