Green Heart Volunteers for Waste Management at the 6th Media Mar-Get, the Idea and Design Market

The Energy Environmental Safety and Health Office (EESH), led by the Sustainable Activities Promotion Team in collaboration with the Student Club of the Joint Management Program (Media), participated in developing and nurturing student leaders to drive the volunteer waste management activity, Social Change Agent with Green Heart, at the 6th Media Mar-Get, the Idea and Design Market. This event took place on February 22-23, 2024, at the Learning Garden (LG). The student group Green Heart led the volunteer waste management activity using Speaker Bins, or talking trash bins, to impart knowledge to those disposing of waste, thereby fostering environmental management awareness. The outcomes of the operation were as follows: 11 kilograms of food waste, 33 kilograms of recyclable waste, and 33 kilograms of non-recyclable waste were segregated. Furthermore, this initiative extended its impact on environmental management, contributing to the creation of a sustainable green society in the future. Over 500 participants joined the activity, aligning with the SDG 2030 Goal 12 for sustainable consumption and production patterns.
