King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by the EESH Center in collaboration with the Student Affairs Office of KMUTT and the Bangkok Traffic and Transport Department, organized the ‘Green Heart Junior’ activity as part of the KMUTT Green School Network. The event, titled ‘Participation for Safe Roads – 6th Edition,’ was held on September 23, 2022, at the Jomras Chaiyaphong Meeting Room, Building 2. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Prasat Pothsrimart, Assistant Director of Thung Khru District, with Assoc. Prof. Suchada Chaisawasd, Director of the EESH Center, and Mr. Sompron Noiyano, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Development, alongside the operational team.

The activity aimed to instill values and raise awareness about road safety among youth, encouraging them to be mindful and proactive in preventing road accidents. Participants included students, teachers, and staff from KMUTT, Na Luang School in Thung Khru District, Bangkok, officials from the Thung Khru District Office, and network partners like the Thai Road Accident Victims Protection Company Limited and Thai Honda Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The event featured exhibitions, special lectures on “Driving Behaviors Leading to Accidents and Victim Protection Regulations” and “Safe Motorcycle Riding Skills.” Additionally, a safety driving campaign procession was organized to raise awareness among KMUTT students, staff, and the local community, promoting adherence to safe driving practices to reduce road accidents. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically Goal 4 for equitable education, Goal 3 for good health and well-being, Goal 11 for sustainable and safe cities, and Goal 17 for partnerships towards sustainable development.
