GEN223 visited biogas learning center

EESH Center Conducts Special Lecture on Waste Management and Biogas Systems for GEN 223 Students

On March 29, 2019, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH), led by its expert lecturers, was invited to deliver a special lecture on “Management Systems for Food Waste Separation” for students of the course GEN 223: The Art and Science of Cooking and Eating. The session was held at SoLA 505 in the Faculty of Liberal Arts building.

The event featured Dr. Chaiwat Waewsak, a biogas production systems expert, who provided an in-depth explanation of the principles and benefits of biogas production. Additionally, EESH lecturers delivered a presentation on KMUTT’s comprehensive waste management system.

The students also visited the Biogas Production Learning Center to observe the biogas generation process from food waste. The hands-on experience enhanced their understanding of biogas production and waste management systems. Moreover, participants engaged in knowledge-sharing sessions about biogas production and energy management systems, fostering a deeper appreciation of sustainable practices.

The event, attended by over 100 participants, aligns with KMUTT’s commitment to the SDG 2030 goals:

  • Goal 7: Promote the use of clean energy.
  • Goal 11: Develop sustainable cities and communities.
  • Goal 13: Reduce the impact of climate change.
