Fortune X KMUTT Sustainable Exhibition: Unveiling the World of Young Innovators Towards a Sustainable Future

KMUTT, in collaboration with Fortune Town IT Lifestyle Mall, organized the “Fortune X KMUTT Sustainable Exhibition” to emphasize the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fostering cooperation between educational institutions and the private sector.

On February 27, 2025, at the Fortune Event Space, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), through the School of Bioresources and Technology, partnered with Fortune Town IT Lifestyle Mall to host the opening ceremony of the “Fortune X KMUTT Sustainable Exhibition”. This event aimed to raise awareness and provide knowledge about modern technologies that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainability. It also sought to enhance the visibility of sustainable innovations and encourage collaborations between the private sector and educational institutions.

The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Keerati Sattasuk, CEO of CP LAND Public Company Limited. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warit Silaong, Dean of the School of Bioresources and Technology, highlighted KMUTT’s sustainability policies on the occasion of its 65th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the School of Bioresources and Technology. Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt officially inaugurated the event and explored innovative research projects showcased by KMUTT researchers, including:

🔹 “E-Wall: Air-Purifying and Pollution-Reducing Green Wall” – Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chairat Treethipsunthorn and his team.
🔹 “Plant-Based Extracts Using Green Technology & Plant-Based Protein” – Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natta Lauhakuljit and her team.
🔹 “Waste Treatment and Biogas Production: Renewable Energy from Agro-Industrial Waste” – Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pawinee Chaiprasert.
🔹 “Conservation Ecology” – Presented by the Conservation Ecology Research Group.
🔹 “Lipid Lab Goes Green: Future Fat Innovation” – Presented by the Lipid Technology Research Group.
🔹 “Value-Added Utilization of Agricultural Waste from Communities and Industries” – Presented by the Center of Excellence in Enzyme Technology and Microbial Utilization.
🔹 “Starch Utilization for Product Development” – Presented by the Carbohydrate Research Group.
🔹 “Artificial Meat Production” – A research project funded by the PMU-B, led by Dr. Lekha Silaipetch.
🔹 “Rose Water Production in Collaboration with the Royal Project” – Led by Mr. Anuwat Techarith, from the Royal Project Foundation Support and Promotion Center.

Insightful Talks and Engaging Workshops

The event also featured exhibitions, workshops, and Insight Talks by experts on sustainable innovations, clean energy, and green technology, including:

1️⃣ “Green Spaces in Bangkok” – By Ms. Araya Sutabut, Founder of BIG TREES and the Big Tree Conservation Foundation.
2️⃣ “The Growth of Thailand’s Energy Sector for Global Sustainability” – By Prof. Dr. Nuald Leosiri, Director of the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE), KMUTT.
3️⃣ “Future Sustainable Technologies” – By Asst. Prof. Dr. Puey Oonjai, Lecturer at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University.
4️⃣ “Future Food Research and Its Role in Sustainability” – By Prof. Dr. Nattadon Harnkarnsujarit, Associate Dean, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University.

This three-day event provided a platform for young innovators, researchers, and sustainability enthusiasts to explore cutting-edge technologies and solutions that contribute to a greener future.
