The Center for Energy, Environmental, Safety, and Health (EESH Center) in collaboration with the Physical Resources Management Office at KMUTT Bang Khun Thian organized a fire evacuation drill for the building group at KMUTT Bang Khun Thian on July 15, 2024. The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Annop Nopparat, Vice President of KMUTT Bang Khun Thian, and Asst. Prof. Suchada Chaisawat, Advisor of the EESH Center, who both welcomed and opened the project.
The training session included emergency evacuation preparation, a review of the fire extinguishing plan, fire evacuation drill practices, and brainstorming sessions to learn from the evacuation drill. The fire evacuation drill is conducted in compliance with legal requirements and aligns with the university’s energy, environmental, safety, and occupational health management policies.
The drill involved participation from administrators, faculty members, staff, students, the KMUTT Bang Khun Thian Emergency Response Committee, KMUTT safety and emergency response teams, public disaster relief units, and local authorities including Bang Khun Thian District Office, Thian Talay Metropolitan Police Station, Elderly Hospital, and Bangpakok 1 Hospital. The event saw over 700 participants and emphasized the importance of safety for students and staff within the university, aligning with SDG Goal 11, which focuses on making cities sustainable and ensuring safety within the university community.
