EESH safety Training for solar decathlon Europe 2019

EESH Center Conducts Safety Training for Students Participating in Solar Decathlon Europe 2019

On December 27, 2018, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH) organized a safety training program for undergraduate students representing KMUTT at the Solar Decathlon Europe 2019 in Hungary. The training was held at Sola 901, Faculty of Liberal Arts Building, with expert speakers providing critical knowledge on laboratory and workshop safety.

  • Mr. Prajparin Kamnoi delivered a lecture on safe handling of chemicals and microorganisms in laboratory settings.
  • Mr. Amorntep Khumsuk covered civil engineering and workshop safety, focusing on safe operations of tools and machinery, electrical safety, and emergency response protocols.

The program aimed to equip students with the necessary skills and awareness to perform tasks safely in compliance with international standards. The session also included a Safety Test to ensure students met the criteria to receive a Safety Card, a requirement for standardized safe practices across the university.

A total of 50 students attended the training, which emphasized fostering a culture of safety and health awareness. This initiative supports SDG 2030, specifically:

  • Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable, highlighting the importance of workplace safety.

By instilling safety-conscious practices, the program not only prepared students for their participation in the competition but also contributed to building a sustainable and safety-oriented academic environment.
