On October 30, 2024, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health (EESH) Management Center, in collaboration with the Office of Building and Facilities Management, organized a Fire Evacuation Drill for the Multidisciplinary Learning Exchange Building (LX), Science Learning Center (SCL), and Library Building. The event was held at the V Space, 14th Floor, LX Building, with over 200 participants.
Objectives of the Drill
The primary goal of the drill was to prepare university personnel and students for emergency situations, ensuring compliance with Section 36 of the Occupational Safety, Health, and Work Environment Act, which mandates annual fire drills and evacuation exercises.
The drill provided:
- Hands-on training in fire prevention and evacuation techniques.
- Emergency preparedness skills for swift and effective responses during critical situations.
- Guidance from experts from the Thung Khru Fire Station and Bangpakok Hospital, who participated as observers and advisors.
Enhancing Campus Safety
This exercise aimed to:
- Improve readiness to prevent and control fire incidents.
- Equip participants with knowledge on emergency evacuation protocols.
- Foster a culture of safety across the KMUTT community.
