On February 19, 2022, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health (EESH) Center conducted a practical training program on professional services for staff and contracted workers at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) Bangkhuntien. The training was conducted in the New Normal format and aimed to raise awareness and understanding of KMUTT’s New Normal system, energy management, waste management, safety standards, research laboratories in Thailand, and emergency response procedures within the university.

The training was provided to cleaning staff, security personnel, maintenance staff, and gardeners. The speakers included experts from the EESH Center and student leaders from Green Heart, who shared their knowledge on these topics. This training sought to create a unified understanding of KMUTT’s systems and practices across the university, supporting the sustainable green university initiative.

The event adhered to social distancing guidelines and focused on the principles of KMUTT’s New Normal. It aligned with the goals of SDGs2030, particularly Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) with an emphasis on the safety of university personnel, Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by promoting sustainable practices and reducing the use of single-use plastics and foam, and Goal 13 (Climate Action) by conserving the environment and energy to mitigate climate change.
