Cyber Police Join Forces with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and NSTDA to Forge a New Generation of Cyber Warriors in the “Cyber Warrior Hackathon 2025” with a Top Prize of 100,000 Baht

Atthasit Sudsanguan, Pol. Maj. Gen. Wiwat Khamchamanan, Pol. Maj. Gen. Thinakorn Rangmat, Pol. Maj. Gen. Sarayut Chunnavat, Commander of TCSD Division 2, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Supakorn Phiew-on, Commander of TCSD Division 5, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Sila Karnraksa, Commander of CCD, jointly held a press conference with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Santitham Prom-on, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, along with relevant officials. The press conference announced the collaboration between the Cyber Police, KMUTT, and NSTDA to cultivate a new generation of cyber warriors in the “Cyber Warrior Hackathon 2025,” which offers a top prize of 100,000 baht.

The Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), or Cyber Police, has partnered with the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), and the Lifelong Learning Promotion and Management Group, Continuing Education Center, Research and Development Office of Science and Technology (NSTDA), all leading educational institutions, to organize the Cyber Warrior Hackathon 2025, which will take place from June 6 to July 21, 2025.

This project serves as a programming competition platform in the field of cybersecurity for students nationwide. Its aim is to create a new generation of “cyber warriors” equipped to handle digital threats, enhance their skills and knowledge, and raise awareness about cyber dangers among Thai youth. It promotes learning through hands-on experience in a context closely aligned with the missions of the Cyber Police, connecting students, who represent the new generation, with a network of cybersecurity experts.

Furthermore, it fosters the joint development and creation of future innovations that can be applied in real-life scenarios. This project also aligns with the university’s strategic plan to develop manpower in science, technology, and innovation to enhance the sustainability of society and the country in the future.
