EESH Center and International Affairs Office Collaborate with Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) for KMUTT Bike Tour

On February 14, 2019, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health (EESH) Management Center, in collaboration with the International Affairs Office and Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), Japan, organized the KMUTT Bike Tour for international students and staff. The activity aimed to develop critical thinking and teamwork skills while promoting cultural exchange among participants.

The tour included a cycling trip around the university, offering participants a chance to explore KMUTT’s campus. It also served as a platform to publicize and reinforce KMUTT’s WALK & BIKE SOCIETY policy, encouraging the community to adopt cycling and walking as primary modes of transportation on campus.

This initiative also emphasized the development of KMUTT students’ “Green Heart”—a commitment to energy conservation, environmental stewardship, and safety. It aimed to prepare them as Change Agents, capable of disseminating these values to their communities and beyond, fostering sustainable and positive societal impacts.

Over 70 participants joined the event, which aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically:

  • Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all.

The KMUTT Bike Tour highlighted the university’s dedication to sustainability, cultural exchange, and holistic student development, contributing to national progress and global environmental efforts.
