EESH Center and Faculty of Engineering Conduct Basic Fire Prevention Training at KMUTT
On January 17, 2019, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH), in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, hosted a Basic Fire Prevention Training Course in accordance with the standards of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour. The event was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiya Damkham, Deputy Dean for Administration, Faculty of Engineering, and took place at Room CB40303, the third floor of Building 4 at the KMUTT Bangmod campus.
The training featured instructors from the Thung Khru Fire Station, who provided essential knowledge on basic fire prevention techniques. The program prepared university executives, staff, students, emergency response teams, and security personnel with the skills necessary to manage initial fire incidents effectively. Participants learned how to correctly use firefighting equipment and respond to emergencies with confidence.
A total of 50 participants attended the session, which was conducted in compliance with legal requirements and aligned with KMUTT’s policies on energy, environment, safety, and occupational health management.
This initiative supports SDG Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, emphasizing workplace safety as a critical component of urban sustainability.
