EESH Center and Continuing Education Center Host Show and Share: Sustainability Event
On November 6, 2018, the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health (EESH) Management Center in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center organized the Show and Share: Sustainability exhibition at the first-floor atrium of the Seminar Building at KMUTT. The event featured the theme “Green & Clean Campus”, showcasing KMUTT’s green university initiatives and promoting the exchange of knowledge on energy management, environmental safety, and sustainability practices, with a focus on community and societal impact.
The exhibition included demonstrations, interactive activities, and games designed to educate and engage participants. A highlight of the event was a guided bicycle tour, allowing participants to explore KMUTT’s key facilities, such as the Phra Chomklao Rachanusorn 190th Anniversary Building, the Central Library, and other academic buildings. These tours emphasized the university’s energy management systems and comprehensive waste management processes. The objective was to familiarize attendees with KMUTT’s educational spaces and inspire them to apply these insights to their own communities and social networks.
Over 200 participants joined the event, which aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically:
- Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
- Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
By addressing climate change and its effects, the event demonstrated how urban and human settlements can become safer and more sustainable. It served as a platform for learning, sharing, and driving collective action towards a greener and more sustainable future.
