The Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health Management Center (EESH) organized a practical training program on sustainable energy, environmental, and safety management systems for retailers at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) Bangmod. The event, held on March 25, 2024, at the UX – 703 Meeting Room, 7th floor of the Innovation Building, aimed to promote sustainable consumption practices among food and beverage retailers using the S M L approach.
This training program aimed to raise awareness and understanding of energy, environmental, safety, and health management, as well as reducing food waste among food and beverage retailers at KMUTT Bangmod. It included courses on waste management within business premises to instill a comprehensive waste management mindset, basic healthcare courses, and emergency response training within business premises.
Participants engaged in a workshop titled “Building Collaboration among Retailers” to review the implementation process of reducing food waste using the S M L approach and communicating effectively between retailers and consumers. Faculty speakers from the EESH Center provided knowledge on these topics.
This training aimed to foster understanding of sustainable energy, environmental, and safety management systems at KMUTT, promoting inclusive participation across all sectors. This initiative is aligned with KMUTT’s goal of becoming a sustainable green university, leading towards carbon neutrality by 2040 (KMUTT Carbon Neutrality 2040). Furthermore, it supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2040, particularly Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities, Goal 12 on sustainable consumption, and Goal 13 on environmental conservation and climate action.
