The King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), through its Sustainable Activity Promotion Group and the EESH Center, organized the ‘Green Heart Junior’ activity under the theme ‘KMUTT United for Developing a Safe, Covid-Free, Energy Conserving and Environmentally Friendly System towards a Sustainable Low-Carbon Society.’ This event took place on September 22-23, 2022, at the Pinij Wittaya Meeting Room (V Space), 14th floor of the Learning Exchange Building (LX). Led by the student leaders of the Green Heart group, the activity aimed to impart knowledge and develop leadership in schools regarding environmental, energy, and safety management.
The event integrated activities related to environmental management, instilling an awareness of reducing plastic waste, self-care to prevent Covid-19, and energy conservation in alignment with government policies for children and youth. It also aimed to extend the university’s efforts in environmental management and energy conservation to the community, contributing to the creation of a sustainable green society. Participants included over 200 students from the KMUTT Green School Network, including Na Luang School, Khlong Rang Jak School, Chusin Thong Pradit Anusorn School, Ratburana (Muhammadiyah Uthit) School, and Rangrach Prueksanuchit School. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, particularly Goal 13 on Climate Change, promoting activities and mechanisms to manage environmental changes sustainably within the community, and Goal 17 on Partnerships for the Goals.
