Cultivating Love on Valentine’s Day: Joining Hands for Conservation

On February 13, 2023, the Energy, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH Center) in collaboration with the International Music and Entertainment Club organized the “Cultivating Love on Valentine’s Day” event as part of the THOHBURI MUSIC FESTIVAL #33. Held at the Learning Park, this event featured an exhibition on sustainability and activities aimed at promoting and instilling environmental conservation awareness under the Green Nudges campaign. This campaign focused on maximizing the use of available resources, including exchanging used plastic bottles for plants. Participants could take these commemorative plants home and were also involved in a Mini Workshop on decorating plant pots using recycled materials.

Additionally, significant emphasis was placed on waste management, supporting the concept of waste segregation at the source. There were designated waste sorting points throughout the event area to encourage participants to partake in waste segregation. The event received positive feedback and served as a model for future events. It expanded on the theme of proper environmental management, contributing to the development of a sustainable green society in the future.

The activities align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, Goal 13: focusing on tree planting and environmental conservation to combat global warming, and Goal 17: establishing networks for sustainable development cooperation.
