The Green Heart student leaders clinched the first runner-up award in a national contest for the Community Development Volunteer Project at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. The Green Heart student group participated with the project “Ant Volunteers Fight Against COVID-19: Turning Crisis into Opportunities for Food Security” and secured the first runner-up award in the National Community Development Volunteer Project for the year 2022. The award was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Pornthipa Damnein, Vice President for Student Affairs and Cultural Affairs of Buriram Rajabhat University, at the national competition held on February 15, 2022, at Buriram Rajabhat University. The Green Heart student group presented their operational results, which involved planning and creating learning experiences through sustainable consumption processes. The activities not only fostered sustainability at KMUTT but also extended these sustainable seeds to the surrounding communities, resulting in tangible success. The competing team included Mr. Akaraphan Taweesak, Mr. Manaskawin Phuphinyokul, and Ms. Suphawadee Phusana. They were advised by the EESH Center and the Student Financial Aid group. The project aligns with the SDGs 2030, targeting Food Security (Goal 2), Good Health and Well-being (Goal 3), Responsible Consumption and Production (Goal 12), and Partnerships for the Goals (Goal 17).
